Calling all prospective MENTEES!

VAHSA CAMP Grp

We are now accepting mentee applications for the ACE program. If you feel like you could use some guidance about how to deal with college, life, family, friends, etc., then this program is just the place for you. The only requirement is that you are in high school. You will have a mentor to assist you in whatever you may need help with in your life. This is a great opportunity to not only learn from your mentors, but to also teach them about the daily struggles that a high school student goes through.

In this program, you will be given the opportunity to grow as an individual and improve your social and educational skills. You will also learn more about the Vietnamese culture and gain knowledge that will help you in college or in your future careers, while still having fun and allowing you to escape from your potentially stressful lives.

Last year, we took the mentees of the Anh Chi Em Mentorship Program to several diverse events. We went to an Angel’s baseball game, an aquarium, went ice skating, had a BBQ picnic in the park, and had workshops to teach you various skills (public speaking, college/job resume building, and Korean language). We were able to do all of this in just a few months. Now that we are starting earlier this year, you can expect a lot more events and variety. And the most important thing was that it was all FREE for the mentees; they got to enjoy all of this without spending any money. All you need is a ride to get to the UVSA office where we will carpool you.

Please fill out the mentee application if you are interested and make sure your parent/legal guardian fills out and signs the consent form at the bottom of the last page.

You can either leave a hard copy at the UVSA office or scan and email your application to khanh.tran@uvsa.org.

The deadline for the application is 11:59pm on Sunday, NOVEMBER 13TH!!!
